In all Tesla models, but especially in the Model 3, the display is the central communication interface between the vehicle and the driver. A screen failure is therefore particularly fatal. We explain what you can do in this case.
Das Problem
Model 3 users report that the screen stays black when they get into the car and only starts up after a while. The vehicle is still ready to drive, but driving with a black display is pointless and dangerous, which is why you have to wait before driving off.
Lösungsvorschläge
If the screen remains black in the Tesla, it may well be a reboot, which is not a problem at first. So if it's a one-off event, you don't need to worry.
If the error occurs frequently, you should first try a soft reboot . If this is still not successful, you should check whether all available software updates have been installed. It makes sense to wait for the next update before taking the final step.
This would be an appointment at the service center to replace the MCU, i.e. the computer unit.
