Tesla Model Y: Passenger ventilation runs constantly

If you carry a passenger in the Tesla Model Y, you can turn the ventilation on but no longer turn it off. Why is that?

The ventilation system in the Tesla Model Y is a bit of a mixed bag: Like almost all functions, it is controlled via the central display, but this doesn't work well depending on the situation.

Ventilation behavior in the Tesla Model Y is only partially controllable.

If you're the only driver in the car, you'll likely have few problems with the ventilation. The system can be switched on and off independently on both the driver's and passenger's sides, and its intensity and temperature can be adjusted.

However, things get interesting when the vehicle detects a person in the passenger seat. While everything remains the same on the driver's side, the ventilation on the passenger side can only be activated, not deactivated. This can be quite annoying for the passenger.

The problem, which none is supposed to be

But it gets even worse: The lack of a shutdown option isn't a bug or software issue at all, but apparently intentional. Why? We don't know. What we do know, however, is that it's practical. Tesla Model Y Accessories is always a good consolation.

But back to the topic. What can a passenger do if the constant ventilation is bothersome? Basically, the only options are to switch off the entire ventilation system or set the fan to the lowest setting to at least reduce the airflow.

At least: For those who find the LOW setting of the automatic climate control too strong, the manual mode offers a finer control. Selection in several stages.

Incidentally, the opposite can also occur, namely an unintentionally weak airflow. If this is still the case after adjusting the airflow setting on the display, a servo motor is probably broken and a visit to the service center is necessary.

Constant passenger ventilation can be annoying, but it's nowhere near as bad as a Complete heating failure.
