Frunk Model Y: problems when opening
In individual cases, it can happen that clicking on "Open frunk" in the Model Y has no consequences. The hood refuses to work and objects in the frunk are locked in for the time being.
This may be due to a faulty or interrupted activation of the locking mechanism, but it is also possible that something has just got stuck. The approach to the problem differs depending on the cause.

To find out what the cause is in a specific case, you need to listen carefully. Does the latch buzz or click when you try to open the frunk? This would indicate that the activation of the frunk is still working.
In this case, you can try to release any jamming by applying light pressure to the cover or pry it open with a suitable plastic wedge - ideally, of course, at the moment when a second person operates the lock.
But be careful: only use a little force with this method and proceed carefully. If the frunk does not open this way, you will only cause more damage with more force.
