Talking on a cell phone while driving is prohibited in Germany. For this reason, practical accessories or built-in solutions such as hands-free devices have been available in Teslas for some time now. These are very helpful, provided they work.

Unfortunately, it happens from time to time with Tesla that the sound suddenly cuts out when making a call and you can no longer hear the person you are talking to. Other sounds such as the turn signal are often affected as well.
Users then have to switch to the phone's internal loudspeaker in order to make normal calls.

Unfortunately, there is little Tesla drivers can do to solve this problem permanently. The circumstances in which it occurs are too varied and seemingly arbitrary.
Of course, minor things should be checked, such as whether the call volume is set loud enough or whether another cell phone would work.
A restart of the vehicle and smartphone is also recommended. Otherwise, the only thing that helps is to record the problem when it occurs via audio report and draw attention to it the next time you visit the service center.
