What can you do if your Tesla honks while stationary?
The problem
Especially with the Model 3, it has been reported that the vehicle may briefly honk while stationary for no apparent reason.
Proposed solutions
The first suspects here are Sentry Mode and the horn beeping when unlocking. Therefore, check if these functions are enabled and if they are the cause. If not, you should rule out any unauthorized access.
Consider who has access to the vehicle (e.g., via the app), disable third-party software, and change the password for your Tesla account – just in case someone plays a prank on you.
If none of that helps, you can schedule a service appointment with Tesla. A Ranger will then come by, investigate the problem, and replace the horn if necessary.
