8 helpful voice commands for Tesla drivers

Tesla's voice control is among the best systems on the market. Vehicle occupants can access numerous functions simply by speaking a corresponding command. There's no need to press buttons or touch the touchscreen, which is just like a Protective film increases lifespan.

Activate Tesla voice control

Voice input is activated by pressing the microphone button on the top right of the steering wheel (Model S/X) or by pressing the right steering wheel scroll button or the microphone button on the touchscreen (Model 3/Y).

Attention: The system requires an internet connection to the Tesla server. Therefore, always wait briefly until the connection is established before issuing your command. This is indicated by the appearance of the microphone icon on the screen.

Voice control in the Tesla Model 3: Helpful commands

Voice commands are especially useful when they replace an action that would normally involve many steps, such as navigation. Saying "Navigate home" (with your home address set) or "Navigate to the nearest Supercharger" will plan the corresponding routes.

The command "Open glove compartment" can also be advantageous, as it's well known that the glove compartment in Teslas cannot be opened manually. Furthermore, the various Modes Activate via voice input, for example by saying "Protect my car" (Guardian Mode) or "Turn on Dog Mode".
