Tesla Model 3 amps - how much?
When charging at home, there are basically two limiting factors: the battery in the vehicle and the power line in the house.
In order to charge the Tesla battery gently, not only should they not be fully charged, but theoretically also with as little current as possible. For this reason, charging at the Tesla Supercharger (several hundred amps) is also rather harmful.
Because the lower the current, the longer the charging time and the higher the charging loss at very low currents, 12-13 amps is a good compromise. This is also more gentle on the power line than charging continuously at 16 amps and risking a cable fire - especially if you charge from a standard domestic earthed socket.
If you want to play it completely safe when it comes to charging, a charging cover is a good idea to protect the charging port of your Tesla from dirt and liquids.
