Electric vehicles are inherently far less prone to needing repairs than combustion engine vehicles, but even if something does break down, Tesla has an innovative approach and will send the repair crew to your home.

Appointment booking
If you notice the damage, you can easily schedule a repair appointment in the Tesla app under the "Service" tab. You will then be asked to select the appropriate category for the damage and describe it in detail.
In our example, this message could look something like this: "Left windshield wiper defective, no longer moves. First occurred on 25/04/2022, last on 28/04/2022. Occurs with every use."
You can also upload up to 5 photos of the windshield wipers in the app to supplement your description. Finally, enter your address and select a suitable appointment time – that's it! The Tesla technicians will arrive at your location at the agreed time.
By the way: You can also change or cancel booked appointments at any time in the app.
Cost estimate
Once the appointment is booked, the Tesla app will usually provide you with a cost estimate. – According to several reports, this also applies if the repair is still covered by the warranty. You should only accept this if your warranty has already expired.
Tesla Service Center
If the on-site technician cannot resolve the issue, they will refer you to the nearest Tesla Service Center – you can also schedule this appointment in the app. Depending on the damage, this option may be the only one available when you initially book the appointment in the app.
In any case, the service center will access your car remotely to prepare for the appointment and order any necessary parts.
