Free charging at the Supercharger was yesterday. Almost everyone who buys a Tesla today will have to pay for their electricity. But what does the fun actually cost? What are the current Tesla Supercharger costs and how do they develop over time?

Current Tesla Supercharger prices

The Supercharger costs vary from time to time and depend not only on the location but also on the time of day (peak and off-peak rates). In addition, drivers of non-Tesla vehicles are subject to more expensive tariffs, although these can be reduced to the level for Tesla drivers via a subscription for currently €9.99 per month or €100 per year.

Tesla Supercharger prices in Germany (as of 17.06.2024)

• €0.38-0.46 per kWh for Tesla drivers
• €0.50-0.62 per kWh for other brands

At most German Superchargers, the off-peak rate for third-party brands is currently between €0.50 and €0.62 per kilowatt hour. Tesla drivers currently pay between €0.38 and €0.46 per kilowatt hour. At peak times (4 p.m. to 8 p.m.) it is a few cents more in both cases.

A full battery charge currently costs Tesla drivers in Germany between 22.80 and 46 euros, depending on the battery (excl. charging loss).

Tesla Supercharger prices Austria

• Austria currently: €0.34-0.42 per kWh
• Foreign brands: €0.46-0.56 per kWh

The charging current is somewhat cheaper with our neighbors in the Alpine republic. Tesla drivers pay between €0.34 and €0.42 per kilowatt hour, while everyone else has to pay between €0.46 and €0.56.

Tesla Supercharger prices France

• France current: 0.26 €-0.43 € per kWh
• Foreign brands: €0.35-0.58 per kWh

 Somewhat cheaper  towards the west. For Tesla drivers, the range is between €0.26 and €0.43 per kilowatt hour, while other brands pay between €0.35 and €0.58. However, in France there are not just two, but up to four different prices depending on the time of day.

Tesla Supercharger prices Italy

• Italy current: €0.41-0.48 per kWh
• Foreign brands 0.55 €-0.65 € per kWh

If you want to experience "La dolce vita", you should be prepared to pay German prices. In Italy, Tesla drivers pay €0.41 - €0.48 per kilowatt hour at the Supercharger, €0.55 to €0.65 for everyone else.

Tesla Supercharger prices Netherlands

• Netherlands current: €0.22-0.26 per kWh
• Foreign brands 0.27 €-0.32 € per kWh

Like their neighbors in France, the Dutch offer comparatively favorable conditions. This means: €0.22 to €0.26 per kilowatt hour for Tesla drivers, €0.27 to €0.32 for other brands.

Tesla Supercharger prices Croatia

• Few Superchargers available, charging at night partly free of charge
• €0.42 per kWh for Tesla drivers
• Fremdmarken nicht freigegeben

The last available price for Croatia is €0.42 per kilowatt hour for Tesla drivers. Charging at night after 10 p.m. may be free of charge. The charging stations, which  are only available at 8  stations across the country so far, are not yet approved for third-party brands.
