Tesla range: more accurate forecasts with this tip

Despite the often market-leading values, range is still an important issue for Tesla vehicles. To avoid stress, worries and, in the worst case, even a breakdown, it is therefore not only important to optimize your range by driving economically, but also to be able to estimate the remaining kilometers as accurately as possible.

Tesla offers a useful function here that you should know about.

Consideration of Tesla aero hubcaps

The on-board computer of a Tesla already calculates the remaining range very precisely. Factors such as tire pressure, outside temperature, wind, differences in altitude and even charging smartphones inside the vehicle are taken into account.

Now there is another variable: Tesla drivers who have removed the streamlined aero hubcaps from their vehicle can inform the on-board computer of this under Settings -> Service -> Wheel and Tires. The hubcaps can be easily removed or added again - just like many practical accessories for Model Y, Model 3 and co.

With the entry in the on-board computer, the changed aerodynamics are now taken into account in the range forecast and the image of the vehicle in the infotainment system is adjusted.
