Consideration of Tesla aero hubcaps

The on-board computer of a Tesla already calculates the remaining range very precisely. Among other things, factors such as tire pressure, outside temperature, wind, differences in altitude and even charging smartphones in the passenger compartment are taken into account.

Now there is another variable: Tesla drivers who have freed their vehicle from the streamlined aero hubcaps can report this to the on-board computer under Settings -> Service -> Wheel and Tire . The hubcaps can be easily removed or added again - just like many practical accessories for Model Y, Model 3 and co.

With the entry in the on-board computer, the changed aerodynamics are now taken into account in the range forecast and the image of the vehicle in the infotainment system is adjusted.
