5 crazy Tesla modes

Lichtspektakel

Tesla has been offering the so-called Light Spectacle since Christmas 2021. In this mode, the vehicle uses indicators, lights, windows and even the trunk lid to put on a show to match the music being played. The spectacle can be started via the menu item "Game box" on all Model 3 and Y as well as Model S and X of the model years from 2021 with software version v11.0 or higher.

By the way: You can also program your own show using Tesla's xLights software or download shows from other users on numerous websites. It is best to park outside with enough space for the light spectacle.

Romantic mode

Would you like to make yourself comfortable in the Tesla? Simply activate the romantic mode in the game box! This makes a crackling campfire appear on the display, activates the seat heating, adjusts the lights and blows warm air from the air conditioning. Quickly select the right music, open a bottle of wine and nothing stands in the way of a relaxing evening. Of course, this only works in parking mode.

Boombox

If your Tesla has an external loudspeaker, you can also play sounds and songs outside the vehicle via the "Boombox" play box app, provided you are in parking mode. You can import the desired media files via a USB stick; you can find out how to format this correctly in the operating instructions for your Tesla. You can simply play the media file via Boombox or set the first five seconds of it as a horn tone. There is also a megaphone that emits an altered voice.

Emission test mode

What at first glance reads awkwardly is actually the name for the well-known whoopee cushion. Activate the mode in the game box, select the desired sound and the location of the "victim" and the fun can begin. By activating the blinker or the left scroll wheel, the "emission" sounds for the amusement of the passengers. If you are parked, you can also play the sound via the outside loudspeakers.

Skizzenblock

You can discover your artistic talent with the sketchpad also available in the game box. It is a painting program that turns the touchscreen into a canvas - ideal if you are stuck in a traffic jam or have to wait somewhere else.

By the way: If you click on "Publish", your artwork will be sent to Tesla for review - whatever that means.
