Some time ago we reported on Teslas that unintentionally stopped moving. honkingHowever, it turns out that unwanted noises can also occur while driving.
Tesla Model 3 beeps
Many Tesla owners experience a high-frequency beeping noise after some time, occurring within certain speed ranges and temperature conditions. This noise is particularly noticeable during coasting, i.e., when neither accelerating nor regenerating energy is taking place.
Causes and solutions
If your Tesla is beeping, the problem is usually with the drive unit. Depending on the engine speed, the gear teeth in the transmission can cause such a whirring sound, especially if the transmission fluid is (still) cold. The electrical capacitors can also be the culprit, although a whine from this source is more likely to occur during hard acceleration.
In both cases, the noises are nothing to worry about; they're simply normal, albeit annoying, operating noises. Of course, you can take it to a service center if you wish; however, success is usually limited. The most effective solution is often to install special accessories yourself, such as additional [unclear - possibly a specific component]. Insulation under the rear seats.
