In the summer months, the Tesla panoramic roof can cause the vehicle to heat up more, as it allows the sun to shine in almost unprotected.

The Tesla Model Y sunshade for the glass roof prevents this and keeps your electric car cool even at the warmest time of year. The darkening fabric can be ordered in either black or light gray. In combination with the silver reflective film, this ensures greatly reduced heat build-up.

Montage:

Installation is very simple: First attach the silver reflective foils to the black covers using Velcro. Then attach the Tesla Y sunshade in the gap between the glass and the ceiling using the plastic parts (included in the scope of delivery). The glass roof of your Model Y is now protected from the sun.

Originally ordered the original from Tesla - unfortunately it wasn't as accurate a fit as you would expect and was returned.

The sun protection distributed by Teslabs fits like a glove.

You usually only recognize good service when something goes wrong - I was first sent the wrong item. The Teslabs team responded immediately, sent a free return slip for the return shipment and promptly dispatched the correct sun protection. Top!

The first "measurable" impression also confirms the functionality - without roof protection, the interior is significantly warmer than with. Incidentally, the attached roof protection is not visible from the outside due to the tinted glass and therefore retains the great exterior appearance of the Model Y.
